Bio
TUA LAINE grew up in Finland, but has spent most of her life as an international nomad in faraway places, from Bahrain to Russia, and London to Alabama. Her first novel, Ei tässä elämässä, Jack, was published in Finland in 2020 by Siltala. Laine translated the novel into Finnish by herself.
She holds an MA in English and Russian literature and has published short stories in literary magazines on both sides of the Atlantic, including Rosebud, Absinthe, Quality Fiction for Women, Pindeldyboz, Snow Monkey and Literary Mama.
Having lived in the USA for almost thirty years, Laine moved back to Europe in 2014, and now resides with her husband in Helsinki and Lisbon.
Folding time like her books, the author photo dates to the 1990s when her novels were first written.
